Auditions for Iolanthe!

I am barely posting this in time, but I am the music director for an upcoming production of Iolanthe at MIT, and vocal auditions are tonight and tomorrow! Here are all the details. I am also recruiting for the orchestra, so feel free to get in touch with me if you'd like to play under my baton.

The MIT Gilbert & Sullivan Players Announce Cast Auditions for Iolanthe

Producer: Ethan Tyndall '04 & Virginia Quaney '10
Stage Director: Garry Zacheiss '00 & Ky Lowenhaupt C
Music Director: Allegra Martin

Auditions will take place on the following dates and times in the MIT Student Center in the rooms indicated:

Wednesday, 2/4/2009, 7:00pm - 10:00pm, Twenty Chimneys (W20-306)
Thursday, 2/5/2009, 7:00pm - 10:00pm, Twenty Chimneys (W20-306)
If needed, callbacks will take place on Saturday, 2/7/2009 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm in W20-407.

Please prepare one song in English and bring a copy of the sheet music for the accompanist. You may also bring a copy of the sheet music for your own reference.

Performances will take place on the following dates:

Friday, May 1, 8pm
Saturday, May 2, 8pm
Sunday, May 3, 2pm matinee
Thursday, May 7, 8pm
Friday, May 8, 8pm
Saturday, May 9, 2pm matinee

Auditions are open to all those interested, and do not need to be scheduled in advance. Please note our student casting policy: Any MIT student capable of performing a role shall be given preference over other candidates.
